Description - Vamsi Krishna
An artist who believes every moment of life can be soaked in and turned into a song, Vamsi is a musical intrument from hard to toe, from face to name as ‘Vamsi’ is the Sanskrit word for ‘Flute’.
With a rich, warm, powerful and emotive voice, she can variate between being a powerhouse on stage to being melodious and soulful. Performing is her forte, as she loves engaging with the audience and expressing herself on stage.
Started her journey 10 years ago as a little girl overwhelmed by the greatness of poetry and story-telling through song and dance during a Musical she was part of. She discovered this massive passion she felt for music, which made her memorize every single line of every song of every character in the play. She began her journey with a Desi Hip-hop band called DNOAX, and was suddenly exposed to a myriad of genres since then, ranging from Reggae, Pop, Rock, electronic, Dubstep, Chill, Lounge, World, Country, Alternative etc. and she is now comfortable with all of the above.
She is trained in Western vocals and other than being a performing artist, she’s also a music teacher herself.
When asked to describe her music, she says “I create music that comes straight from my soul. Or I don’t create it at all. Because, for me, it is a way to channelize my inner divinity and take the audience on a journey with my music and me.”
“MUSIC IS NOT SOMETHING I DO, IT’S WHAT I AM.”
